Creativity Counselling
From January 2025, I’ll be offering one-to-one personal Creativity Counselling.
This takes the form of a structured, face-to-face conversation, which usually lasts around 90 minutes.
Creativity Counselling is available as a one-off session, and a full six month course. I’m also developing a year-long course. I have maximum 5 spots available for six month courses in the first half of 2025.

Creativity Counselling aims to:
— Talk through your creative process and experience in depth, to unpack the shape of your creative life, untangle how you work with, and live with, your creativity.
— Deep dive into a specific project you’re working on, or considering.
— Identify any blocks, challenges and other stuff that may need thinking about in a new way, bringing a fresh perspective.
— Help you bring your creativity into the heart of your daily life.
— Find your best modes of practice and spot pitfalls.
— Recapture joy in your creative activities.
— Help to get your work out into the world, and earn money from it, if that’s what you want to do.
— Sometimes you’ll get homework.
To be clear: though this counselling is delivered through one-to-one conversations, I’m not a trained psychotherapist.
The value I bring to Creativity Counselling is:
— a breadth and depth of experience across the arts, culture and communications sectors, with decades of work, in many roles and contexts, interacting with different art-forms, crafts and practices
— a wide range of experiences in the arts education world as a guest lecturer, workshop designer and leader, creative fellow, artist-in-residence, mentor and discussion panel moderator.
— active listening
— a high degree of intuition about how specific changes might make your creative life far more central, fruitful and rewarding.
Here’s my rate card:
Initial phone call / DM / text / email exchange — FREE
One-off 90 minute session — £250
(refundable against upgrade to six month course, if there are spots left)
Six month course (6x 90 minute sessions) — £1,000
(five spots available, from January 2025)
One year course (12x 90 minute sessions) — £1,800
(four spots available, from January 2025)

NOTE: I’m based in Brighton, UK. I’ll travel for sessions as far as London, Worthing or Hastings (and to places along those train routes) at no further cost (I’ll even cover my own travel). I’m also happy to travel further afield (anywhere in the world!) for sessions at no extra time cost but you’d need to cover travel expenses and accommodation as needed.
